For one of our international clients in the alcohol industry we are looking for a Financial Controller. Within this position you will have a lot of contact with the Plant Controller located near Amsterdam. Your background in Accountancy will help you professionalizing the financial control.
Collects and analyses accounting entries in the financial administration, looks into deficiencies and makes corrections if needed.
Assesses and analyses organizational figures and reports.
Responsible for month-end reconcile general Ledger accounts with or without sub ledgers and analyse movements.
Analyses actual to budget variances and report together with the Plant Controller.
Ensures a timely, accurate and complete declaration of VAT, verify the VAT and CIT schedules.
Calculate accruals and provisions.
Ensure together with the local team the record of the fixed asset and calculation of the depreciation.
Check and sign the payment reconciliation.
Creates and realizes the financial statements.
Assists actively in the budgeting process together with the Plant Controller.
Realizes the month-end closing together with the Plant Controller and the Financial Shared Services Team and supports him in the realization of week, month and/or annual reports.
Assists audits and financial accountability for accountants, works with auditors and tax officers.
Prepares financial management reports upon request.
Creates, updates and checks the consolidation package (BFC).
Describes and updates financial administrative project policies and procedures and monitors compliance to it.
Document lessons learnt and opportunities for financial improvement.
Provides input on the development, implementation and/or improvement of financial processes and procedures.
Ensure the intercompany process is done and implemented in line with the Group procedures.
Provides content related and active and positive support and guidance to the colleague of the finance department.
Coaches on process improvement if needed.
Responsible for workload management, task division and streamlining workflows and processes.
Trains new team members.
Provides input on the development, implementation and/or improvement of financial processes, procedures, tools and/or innovations.
Monitors the quality of financial administration and reports deviations to the Controllers.
Addresses colleagues when the (quality) requirements and/or procedures are not enforced or followed.
Manages the financial information systems and keeps it updated.
In order to perform well in this position you have at least a Master degree in finance/ accounting a RA title would be a plus. Furthermore you have a background in the accountancy or you have experience as financial controller at an international organization. Although you will communicate a lot in English it is important to speak fluent Dutch for this position.
